A distillery based out in Southbourne in Bournemouth, Dorset, Conker Spirits Ltd is a team of friends who share a common passion of building a world-class distillery. The distillery believes in creating meaningful, long lasting experiences and memories through their spirits. The distillery uses hand-picked ingredients and treat them with respect and love that they deserve. They believe in fine detailing when it comes to their distilling process as it allows them to distill excellent tasting spirits.

Conker Spirits Ltd had two spirits from their distillery that won at the London Spirits Competition, 2018. The spirits that were awarded were:

Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur- This spirit was awarded a gold medal at the London Spirits Competition with an overall score of 92 points from the judges. It contains Grade 1 forest grown specialty Ethiopian and Brazilian coffees along with the distillery’s own British wheat spirit and a touch of demerara sugar. The aroma is that of fresh ground coffee, dark chocolate and earthy browned caramel. It has a gentle taste with appropriate bitterness because of the bold yet lightly roasted espresso, lively citrus fruitiness, demerara, caramel and vanilla.

Dorset Dry- With a total score of 84 points, the Dorset Dry was awarded a silver medal at the London Spirits Competition. The Dorset Dry is a refreshing take on the traditional London Dry Gin and is distilled and bottled at Dorset’s first gin distillery. It embodies the spirit of the county by blending British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water with botanicals from across the Dorset coast and New Forest. The Dorset Dry Gin is well-balanced and Juniper-led, but with the bright and refreshing Dorset notes of elderberries, samphire and handpicked gorse flowers. The finish has long lingering citrus notes and a lovely compliment of dry and sweet.

The Conker Spirits distillery is a mighty hive of activities where the first thing anyone will notice is the heady aroma of our beautiful botanicals, which emanate daily from our two 60-litre alembic pot stills, affectionately named Pumpkin and Aunt Fanny. It is a place where the stills work hard and the Conkerers work even harder to ensure that every drop of every bottle epitomises the craft, quality and innovation that the distillery holds very dearly.
